The City Palace is the main palace from where the Maharaja reigned from. The palace includes the Chandra Mahan and Mubarak Mahal along with various other buildings within the complex. It is located towards the north-eastern side of Jaipur. The City Palace of Jaipur is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Rajasthan and it was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh during his reign. The vast complex of the palace in Rajasthan occupied one seventh of the walled city of Jaipur. The palace is divided into a series of courtyards, buildings and gardens

The most visited structures inside the palace complex are the Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Pritam Niwas Chowk, Diwan-i-khaas, Diwan-i. Aam, Maharani Palace, Bhaggi Khana and Govind ji Temple.

1)The entry fee is Rs. 300/200 for adult/child.

2)An informative audio guide can be hired for Rs80 and this is highly recommended as there are inscriptions or details within the palace where you could need some guidance.

How To Reach
The city palace is located at Jaleb Chowk, Near Jantar Mantar, Tripolia Bazar, Jaipur. The City Palace is located in the middle of the old city wall of Jaipur. There is ample transport to the palace. You can either take a cab for local site-seeing or take rickshaws if you want to experience the Indian way of travel.
